Weronika is the sweetest. I am definitely querying her when my manuscript is ready.
ReplyDeleteHello! My first visit, will visit you again. Seriously, I thoroughly enjoyed your posts. Congratulations for your work. If you wish to follow back that would be great I'm at http://nelsonsouzza.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Wow. Wreronika has really been busy! She hasn't been an agent that long, and already 4 agencies? Good for her.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great agent--especially if interested in international representation. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteGreat spotlight! Just wanted to chime in here...
ReplyDeleteI had a wonderful experience with Weronika while querying my last manuscript, which she read not once, but twice (after I revised/overhauled the ending). Sadly, things didn't end up working out with that one; however, she was very prompt, professional, and genuinely nice in every correspondence we had.
Yes, she's young, but you can tell she's passionate about what she's doing--and that's one of the most important things to me, at least.
Will definitely be querying her again when I finish the new book I'm working on.
Weronika is a good friend of mine and I know from much experience what a talented, dedicated person she is. She's made me a better writer a thousand times over. From the moment I heard she was going to become an agent, I knew she'd be a star!
ReplyDeleteI always love your agent spotlights. Never stop! :)
ReplyDeleteWeronika sounds awesome. I'm so bummed she's not interested in middle grade. I loved her posts on WriteOnCon at the conference last year and would love to have her as an agent.
ReplyDeleteThank you! great spotlight

I'm friends with her on Facebook and have read her blog. She seems like such a nice person. I'm going to send her my query. Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteI just saw that she's closed to queries until further notice :(.
ReplyDeleteLooks like she's already re-opened, Emily. Thanks for letting me know!
ReplyDeleteHi, Casey.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the following link from Agent Query Connect, Ms. Janczuk is closed to queries as of June 7, 2012: http://agentqueryconnect.com/index.php?/topic/8494-weronika-janczuk-closing-june-7/ : (
Trying to confirm this but her website is down.
Thank you, Elle! I found her tweet stating the June 7th date here, so it seems to be true:

Once her website is back up, I'll check to make sure it's still in effect. If so, I'll put a note on her profile.
Hi Casey, just wanted to let you know that it seems like Weronika Janczuk is no longer an agent, from what's written on her Twitter profile and the fact that her site/Publishers Marketplace page/blog are all down.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kaye M! I'll pull her profile down.
