So Tell Each Other: What Are You Blogging About This Week?

I'm married! The wedding went really great, and I'll share some pictures as soon as I have them.

In the meantime, we're taking off again this afternoon and I'll be staying relatively "unplugged" until Monday. I should be back full time about then.

For today, I'm using a fabulous suggestion sent in by Heather Lane and putting up the following question...

What are you blogging about this week? Please self-promote, share what you've posted and/or will post, and click around some new blogs. I think we all loved doing this a couple weeks ago. The response was amazing!

Have fun romping about the place while I'm gone (keep it clean!), enjoy the blog party, and I'll be back to check in with everyone fairly soon.

  1. Congratulations! I want to blog about you!
I've slacked off this week but just put up a round up post with reviews, visits, and book party details!

    So excited for you!

  2. Congratulations on your wedding!

I'm blogging about what I'm working on, my search for something new to read, and my reflections on Banned Books Week as someone who grew up in a household with censorship.

  3. I blogged about my current method of Characterization: WillEverchase.wordpress.com

Congrats on being married! It's tough, but to the hard working well worth the effort. :)

  6. Congrats Casey and enjoy the rest of your time off. I'm finishing up a ms this week, but reviewed The Angel's Game on my book review blog. FunkyFruitReviews Hope I did the link thing right. Can't wait to hear from you next week.

  7. Many congratulations on your marriage! May the joys of your wedding day follow you for the rest of your days.

I've just finished blogging about a 4 part series on the pursuit of excellence in writing.

  9. Congratulations! Best wishes for many happy, exciting years together.

I blogged about not a lot of anything. The dog needs a bath. It's much quicker (and dryer) to blog about the need than to actually bathe the 100lb beast.

Which explains why I blogged about the need, but the dog is not yet bathed.

  10. Congratulations! :D

I don't usually plan what I'm going to blog about very far in advance. I'll probably be blogging about my reactions to some interesting quotes I've seen and how these things relate to writing. So, I guess, the usual for my blog.

  11. Congrats on getting hitched! :-D

I posted a pic of another new necklace and rambled a bit about period dramas. :-)

  12. Happy for your lovely wedding!

But I'll respectfully disagree with Will Everchase. I've been married for 26 years and it hasn't been tough. It's been fulfilling, rewarding, enriching, secure, challenging (in a good way), and I wouldn't trade a day of it.

I'm blogging on a reading I'm doing, a dog I misplaced until another dog pointed it out, and my blogoversary.

    Enjoy!

  13. Congratulations!

I've been dipping my toe into Twitter, blogging about the Open University MA in Creative Writing and will probably mention something about National Poetry Day on Thursday.

  14. Congratulations!

I've posted about looking for imagery/depth while revising and ways to intentionally build on what's already there.

Also posted about The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. Please stop by and share your thoughts, feelings, ideas, comments!

At the end of the week I'll share about my fourth and fifth-grade book club.

  15. I have a poor neglected blog with pictures, illustrations, and some words... not sure bloggin' is my medium, but I'll persist!

Casey, writers devour blogs like yours - full of information and insight. Congratulations on your success here and thank you for all your hard word - happy nuptial-ing!

    Haste yee back ;-)

  17. Congratulations Casey! Much, much happiness.

This week I'm blogging about why we write and the insecurities that go along with querying. May take more than one week! http://vrbarkowski.blogspot.com/

  18. Congratulations! Many happy years to you!

The theme of my blog posts seems to be NaNoWriMo lately. But I may post a silly poem about the state of my desk just for fun.

  19. Best wishes to you and congratulations to your husband!
I agree with Patience; I've been in Happily Ever After for 29 years.
This week I'm blogging about my critique group's effort to refine our format: currently one chapter every other week, but we're trying out up to fifty pages once a month.
I'd love to hear from anyone with advice on this.

  20. Woohoo, here's to marriage! And WOOHOO, here's to HONEYMOONS!

I just blogged about what being outside in autumn does for my soul. Normally, my blog is a little less deep recounting my outdoor and writing adventures.

  21. Happy marriage!!!

I blogged about my hideous/uber painful triple injury, and I made it funny.

I also blogged about courage; that one is funny too.

Stop by, I'd love the visit...

  22. CONGRATULATIONS, Casey!!

Between today and tomorrow, I'll be posting links to various posts around the blogosphere on writing/publishing, agents, and editor news. Yesterday I posted a brief excerpt from a picture book work-in-progress.

Many blessings to you and your spouse!

  23. Congrats on walking down the aisle!!

    As for blogging . . .

Monday - promotion of a blogging buddy's e-book about query letters.

Tuesday - Words, Words and More Words which deals with my current revision process and some handy words that really aren't necessary, and are often overused, with a link to Rachelle Gardner's blog post that inspired my post.

Wednesday - Nine Steps of Creativity with links to blog that inspired the post.

Thursday - nothing so far, but you never know what might pop out of my head between now and then.

Friday - well, it's a secret, so you just have to jump over to my blog on Friday and see what will post at the crack of dawn.

    The blog: http://scott-awritersblog.blogspot.com/

Seriously, the post is very thought provoking!

  24. The day job is taking a lot of extra time this week, but I'm hoping to finish reading two more books by week's end and get some more reviews up.

I'm also sketching out a post on tenacity and publishing vs. self-publishing (but I suspect that's a much overdone topic).

  25. Congratulations, Casey! And thanks for the shout-out. It was really such a timid idea, you didn't need to link to me. (But thanks!) Today's blog post is about Madeleine L'Engle, her ten years of rejection, and cherry pie.

  26. Many returns of the day to you and yours!

At my neck of the woods, I'm wondering if I'm a sexist reader or not.

  27. Yes, congrats on your marriage! I married my soulmate and it's a wonderful thing.

  28. Yes Congratulations.

This week I am blogging about two books and my Writing Reflections, which is always on Thursday.

In honor of Hallloween I posted some jokes and a flash game this past Monday. My hubby is addicted. I plan to post something every Monday about Halloween all this month, maybe even a contest.

  29. Congrats, Casey!

I'm blogging a bit about (1) the author-illustrator relationship (or lack of) (2) plot twists and (3) how to strengthen a PB manuscript for this tough market

  35. I'll add a congrats, too. Welcome to the club!

I'm just about to start a blog post on completely changing the start of my new short story before I got through the second paragraph. I suppose that's why I called my blog Constant Revision...

This week over at jadehearsvoices.blogspot.com/ I've done some posts on letting loved ones go (old stories) and naming dilemmas.

I just finished editing today (yay!) so I'm going to do an editing wrap-up today.

    That and the usual craziness!

I've just started a blog called Northwriter. I'm a recently agented YA writer from Alaska. Just signed with Jennifer DeChiara a few weeks ago.

Just click on my name above and check out my blog, and learn a little about me and the north country. My contemporary YA novel will be out on submission soon.

  41. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :) I was so happy when I got married, but being the bride is so exhausting! I was glad when it was all over and I could finally sit down. :)

I posted a review of the fabulous book SHIVER by Maggie Stiefvater. I also posted an interview with author Michelle Rowen, to celebrate the release of her first YA. Yay Michelle!

  42. Congratulations on the marriage! Your blog is a delight, and I'm having a great time checking out some of the other commenters blogs.

I just recently started my blog but can see I'm going to have very little time for it. My latest post is on delousing the MS.
