Wednesday's Word Count

The week sure did fly by, at least for me. I can't beleive it's time for another Wednesday's Words!

Words written / goal: 3909/3250

Goal for new week:
4000

Excuses / comments:
I feel like it's getting easier to sit my butt down and just write. I'm drawing a lot of motivation from the goals that we're setting and the fact that I have to 'check in' each week. This past week I read through my manuscript and did some of the editing I wanted to do. After that I felt much more together and managed to exceed my goal count just a bit. Yay! I'm beginning to feel confident that I can keep up a word count of at least 4000 a week now.

Wednesday's Words is helping to make writing more routine for me, which in turn is helping me stay focused on getting a little in each day. I really hope some of you are finding the same motivation! And, I want to send out a big thank you to everyone who has been participating and trucking along with me.

Now, how did YOU fare this week?

WORDS WRITTEN /GOAL: My goal was to finish / heh. No, I didn’t finish.

GOAL FOR NEW WEEK: Dare I say… finish? I’m afraid to since it hasn’t worked out well these last two weeks. Yet, for the first time, I feel it may be a possibility. At least to finish to the point that I only have to read it through before sending out to Betas.

EXCUSES/ COMMENTS: I think I completed like 5 chapters (or more!) only to end up with one and a half (usable), plus I realized last night that I’m going to need three new scenes that I hadn’t planned for to make it work.

I don’t know whether to consider this a good or a bad week. I feel like I’m working backwards and yet, strangely accomplished. I know my book more intimately after this week, that’s for sure. Although, I think it’s cheating on me. Or at least has a sour attitude. I think we may need to go to counseling.

Fantastic progress. I'm revising and have only added one scene. Maybe a couple thousand words added. It's so hard to keep track while revising.

Heather, you're working hard at it, so don't be too hard on yourself. Even if you don't finish you'll still be closer! You can do it!

Pj, good luck on your revisions as well. I'm sure you're doing great! It won't be long until The Emerald Tablet comes out, wow!
